Sally Elliott has been exhibiting locally and nationally for over thirty years. She was a founding member of Front Range Women in the Visual Arts and is a long time member of Spark Cooperative Gallery in Denver where she exhibits yearly. Elliott was a recipient of a 2004 fellowship from the Colorado Council on the Arts and a Boulder Arts Commission Grant (1992). From 1999 to 2011, she was on the Drawing and Painting faculty at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Her work is in numerous private and public collections including IBM Corporate Art Collection, United Airlines, Kenyon College in Ohio, Front Range Community College, and Kaiser Permanente in Denver, Colorado. She currently resides in Boulder, Colorado.
The work of Sally Elliott is mythic and mystical. Layered so deeply with images, color and textures it demands quiet contemplation to decipher its many insinuations… They are worthy of the time it takes to mine their jewels.
