Adult Art Classes

En Plein Air means to paint in the open air. Where better to do so than in Colorado in June? Our Museum instructors will meet you at the site with materials that you can use to paint in the great outdoors!

All classes suitable for any skill level, and all materials are provided unless otherwise noted.
Pre-registration is required at least one week prior to each class.
Ages 16 and older. $50 each ($40 for museum members)


Plein Air at McCreery House
Wednesday, June 14
10 am – 1 pm
746 Washington Avenue, Loveland

Join us at the historic McCreery House and draw inspiration from their magical garden. All you need to bring is a snack/lunch and an easel or lightweight folding table. The Museum’s instructor will meet you there with the rest of your supplies. We will spend a beautiful summer day re-creating this amazing summer garden. Instructor: Trish Murtha


Plein Air in the Park
Tuesday, June 20
1 – 4 pm
700 South Railroad Avenue, Loveland

We will meet at the bridge at Fairgrounds Park to set up and paint what we see in this beautiful setting. Our inspirations can come from the river, trees, distant mountains, or much more! Instructor: Mary Giacomini
