Artist Led Special Workshops


The Power of Creativity

Saturday, April 13, 9 am – 12 pm
Ages 10 and older (great workshop for kid and parent!)

Fee: $30 per student and $50 kid/adult combo ($26, $40 for Museum members)
This class will meet in the Foote Gallery

In this family-friendly mixed media workshop, children and adults can explore basic collage and painting techniques, as used by artist Amelia Furman in her exhibit Quest for Power. The instructor will provide all supplies and everyone will complete artwork to take home.

Digital Photography

Tuesdays, May 14, 21, 28, 1 – 3:30 pm
Ages 16 and older

Fee: $50 ($40 Museum Members)
This class will meet in the Foote Gallery
Minimum: 5; Maximum: 10

In this progressive 3-day course, we will cover a variety of photo terminology, history, and design concepts. Participants will take a downtown “photo walk” to apply what they learn. We will utilize our images to create a personalized calendar, poster collage, and individually matted exhibit prints. A final presentation and critique of images will guide your process and perception. Participants must supply their own digital camera (cell phones are acceptable).

Loveland Museum Class Registration Policy

  • We depend on your enrollment for a successful class. Please plan your schedule carefully to avoid cancellations.
  • If you must cancel your registration, please call (970) 962-2410 at least five (5) business days before the class. You may choose to transfer to another class, retain a credit for a future class, or receive your money back. Cancellations made after the above deadline are creditable or refundable at 50% of the registration fee. If you do not call to cancel or do not show up for a class, your registration fee will be forfeited. For refunds, please allow for two weeks for checks to be processed.
  • No cash refunds.
  • The Museum has the right to cancel classes. If class enrollment is below the minimum requirement, a class may be cancelled. Class cancellation decisions are made three (3) days prior to class.
